This is my week 5-6 reading work that my reading group got.... Jk Rowling is my reading group just to let you know. The reading work we got was for 'Understanding new vocabulary' and the story we are reading is 'The Mobile Garden'.

My Needs vs Wants... Shopping spread sheet

To help us understand the difference between needs and wants, we looked at shopping for our families.
I worked with Josephine to complete a list.

At first a budget was not stated. How ever we had guidelines that said this…

shopping list includes ingredients for 4 main meals;

shopping list has at least three different types of fruit;

shopping list has 4 sanitary products included;

shopping list has enough bread and milk for the week;

Think about: quantity of particular items, e.g. number of bread loaves, litres of milk, grams of mincemeat, etc

After completing the list we received a budget and had to think of which items were necessary and which weren't.

I got the right amount of money for my shopping.

Term 3 Week 4 - Reading Work - My First Pay-Packet

This is my reading work I had to do for week 4. It is about this island boy that was trying to get a job and suddenly did. Then when he got his first pay-packet, he had to share it around which mad him pretty disappointed because he worked hard for that money and yet it got shared out.

But he had to do it cause it is tradition.
