How To Prevent Yourself From Getting Sick

Winter is the time of year that many people become sick. This is for various reasons. The main factor being the temperature because when your body is cold, it gets numb and you can’t really control anything. This explanation will prevent you from getting sick.

One way to prevent yourself from getting sick, is by getting the flu shot… The flu shot, also known as the Influenza Vaccine is a annual vaccination that you can get once a year to protect your body from getting the flu virus. It only prevents you from getting sick for a year and then your not protected anymore… Unless you get it again the next year then that will be fine.

Another way is, wearing warm clothes. For the reason that, if you don’t wear proper clothing, you can easily get sick and you would feel cold.

Just like how I said in the introduction, your body will get numb and you won’t be able to function it properly. Also you won’t be able to move and feel your body.

Another way to keep yourself from getting sick is to stay healthy and strong. How is that? By what you eat and what goes into your bodies. All the food that you eat, has nutrition and good vitamin in it. Make sure that what you are eating is perfectly cooked, it is good for you, it is the right food to eat and it is not cooked wrong.

The main thing to eat when you are sick, is lemon. Why? because it soothes your throat, it helps your body heal and it has Vitamin C in it which is good for your body.

Another way of keeping well is by washing your hands… It is important to wash your hands because you can get germs and when you do, it spreads. How? By everything you touch and by everyone you touch… Everything you touch, everyone else touches it too and then they get your germs that you put on there.

One good thing is to use hand sanitizer every time you feel like you need it and when you touch things that are dirty. You shouldn't just keep playing around with the hand sanitizer because it will be a waste.
Another way is to keep your body clean and moisturized. Why? Because if you don’t, then you can sick with diseases and your body will start growing dirty things on it. So always have a shower and scrub your body properly.

That is how you can prevent yourself from getting sick… That is also the advice i’m giving to you to help you. If you ever get sick, remember all these things you can do to help your body keep well and healthy.

My Needs vs Wants... Shopping spread sheet

To help us understand the difference between needs and wants, we looked at shopping for our families.
I worked with Josephine to complete a list.

At first a budget was not stated. How ever we had guidelines that said this…

shopping list includes ingredients for 4 main meals;

shopping list has at least three different types of fruit;

shopping list has 4 sanitary products included;

shopping list has enough bread and milk for the week;

Think about: quantity of particular items, e.g. number of bread loaves, litres of milk, grams of mincemeat, etc

After completing the list we received a budget and had to think of which items were necessary and which weren't.

I got the right amount of money for my shopping.

My Colours

Having colours in your life is amazing because of what they make your life look like. Colours brightens up your life and makes it better. If it wasn't for colours then our world wouldn’t be colourful. The flowers wouldn’t be the colours they are, the plants wouldn’t be the colours they are, the sun and the moon wouldn’t be the colours they are… If it wasn’t for colours, the world wouldn’t be the world and the colour it is right now… Everything would have been so ugly without colours. It would have been all white or black!.

A couple of weeks ago till now, we have been learning about colours. We have been learning about primary colours, secondary colours and tertiary colours. They were easy to make and learn. While we did that, we also painted the colours onto our art works.

The primary colours are yellow, blue and red. If you combine those three colours together then it will make another colour. For example, If you mix yellow with red it makes orange. If you mix red and blue together then it make violet. And if you mix yellow and blue together then it makes dark green.

Secondary colours is a colour that is made by mixing two primary colours. The secondary colours are orange, Green and violet. If you mix them together then it will make all sorts of colours. It is just the same as the primary colours but you are mixing the other three colours together.

Tertiary colours is when you mix one primary colour with one secondary colour. How you make tertiary colours is you combine primary colours with secondary colours. If you mix them then they will make the tertiary colours.

So if you mix all those colours together then it will make other colours like. BUt the main colour is brown. So now that you know what primary, secondary and tertiary colours are, you can try it for yourself. I know I didn’t put up what to mix to get a colour but, you can try mixing different colours together to see what it makes.

Transportation

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people use vehicles, bikes, motorbikes and a lot more to go from place to place faster and easier.

(19 century) In the 19 century, people would either walk or drive their carts. But there cart’s were slow and not fast like the cars now.

Communication

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people use Cellphones and Mobile phone’s.

(19 century) In the 19 century, people would communicate by writing letters and sending telegrams or sometimes by just going to their houses.

Mail

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people use Digital Online things like Gmail, Hotmail, Facebook and a lot more.

(19 century) In the 19 century, people would write their message on a paper then grab a brick and wrap it around it. After that they would chuck the brick into the persons house. It will either hit there leg of something else.

Clothing

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people wear Short things like short pants, short t-shirts and cool fashioned clothes. They also wear awesome fashioned shoes.

(19 century) In the 19 century, the ladies wear puffy dresses and the man wear suits, White & black chequered pants, a hat and they walk with a walking stick.

Washing

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people wash their clothes in washing machines.

(19 century) In the 19 century, people would wash their clothes by using a bucket full of water, grab a scrubbing board, soap and their clothes.

Food

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people eat a lot of junk food and fast food.

(19 century) In the 19 century, people would eat Healthy food but they were expensive.

Machines

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people use electric stuff and they also have electricity. They use things like Television, electric screwdriver’s, washing machine’s and a lot more.

Technology

(21 century) Now in the 21 century for technology, people would use laptop, computers, projectors, computers and more.

My Big Brothers birthday!!!!

     On August the 16, it was my big brothers birthday...... I was so excited because he got money and presents. I gave him Converse's (which is Chuck Taylor of just Chucks). My grandparents gave him 100 dollars, my mum & dad gave him new shoes & money, my uncle gave him 100 dollars and my cousins gave him things.

      Excitedly, he went to see his girlfriend and the girlfriend said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!". Then He stayed at her house for a while then went to his friend. His friends gave him presents and money!!!. Then they had a party at their friends house. My brother came home tired & sleepy so we made him some think to eat. After that we called he girlfriend house and told her to come and pick him up so she came.

      They left and his birthday was over. It was the next day and my mum said to me "Morning dare". Later that day we went and visit my brother at the girlfriend's house then we went shopping with the girlfriend. We bought shoes, clothes, other stuff and then we had Carl's Jr. It was so nice so we bought another one.

      After that big shopping, we went back to her house and had some fun then went home.

My Ugly Duckling Retelling Story

Once there was 6 duckling’s. 5 were pretty and one was really ugly. When the mother duck had the ugly duckling she wanted to kill it. Because she did not like ugly duckling’s only pretty duckling’s. She tried her best to kill the poor thing but it did not work.

First she put the duckling in the middle of the road. But then the duckling quickly dodged the car’s and got back on track. The second thing the mother duck did was she tried to get a person to buy her little ducking for free. But it still did not work!

So she tried to do heap’s of thing’s to the little thing but it didn't work. The little duckling was really smart it knew what the mother was going to do to him so he was making a plan on a blue print’s. When the little ugly duckling was doing that the other duckling’s were asking the mum “why are you doing this to our baby brother?” then the mother yelled “BECAUSE HE’S UGLY!” then the other duckling’s did not ask that question ever again.

The mother was spying on the little duck and she thought that he was dumb but he wasn't. One day she was going to kill him her self. So she went and got a knife and lift it up and...........
