Saturday Dance

Continued!!!

     After having a rest, it was nearly 6:00 so we got change and got everything ready. I was so happy because we were going to my grandma's church to dance for her and the church. Me and my sister was dancing and we were so nervous and shy because there were people that I didn't know. It was time to go so we drove to G.I (Glen Innes) to my grandma's house to pick her up. When we got there, we ran and kissed her and my grandpa. 

     They were so happy to see me and my sister..... They were also proud of us because we are dancing for them. The church dance was almost starting so we quickly went and help my grandparents and then went to the car and drove to the church. We got to the church and there were a lot of cars and there were also a lot of people.

     We walked inside and it was a bit noisy so my mum said to go to the toilet with the dance clothes so we went. I asked my mum "when is it our turn to dance" and she said "you are up first.... "I did not know that we were going first mum" But you are so hurry up before you start." So we hurried and while that was happening we could here people dancing and singing. 

     While we were hurrying, I felt freezing cold because the toilet was outside. We were all finished getting changed so my mum went to the D.J and gave him this C.D that had the song on it. It was time to walk in the hall and dance so we started walking to the door. I was so nervous like my sister. We were in the middle of our dance when people started to stand up and give us money, sing and dance.

     It was so fun and cold at the same time but, it was cool and awesome too. After the dance, we left home because we were cold and tired. So we left and went home and slept.

A Foal Is Born

Once there was a horse named Del, she had a baby foal. Del's owner names were Helen & Michael and they had a son named Ryan. 

Ryan couldn't wait to see the foal. When Ryan asked, his mum replied, "The Foal is going to be born any day this week" . The next day when Ryan woke up he saw his mum down in the horse paddock. Ryan walked out to see his mum and there was a new Foal lying close to Del.

Ryan's dad Michael, said "It is a filly". "She has just been born" "Am I aloud to stroke her before I go to school?" Ryan asked excitedly. His Dad replied, "It is to soon. Del need's to have some time to get used to her baby. But, you can look through the binoculars." So, Ryan looked across the paddock through the binoculars.

While he was looking he saw this white sac bag sort of thing hanging on one half of the foal. She foal was shaking her head as if she was trying to get it off her. "That's the sac that protected her when she was inside her mother" said the dad.

Ryan watched as the foal tried to stand up on her long, wobbly
legs. "It is time for school now Ryan" yelled Michael. "When you get home Ryan you'll be able to touch her and talk to her." While Ryan was at school, his mum fed Del and gave her some water to drink. Soon, the foal was steady on her feet and she was starting to look for a feed.

When she finished drinking from her mother, the foal flopped down on the ground for a rest. Now it was time for Helen to get the foal used to getting touched. She knelt next to the foal and rubbed her hands all over her. She even put her finger's inside of the foals ear's and mouth. Helen tapped on the front and bottom of the foal's feet.

It is just like how the farrier would do when he puts shoes on her feet for the first time. Helen also put a leading rope around the foal to let her get used to the feeling of it. When Ryan got home from school, the foal was sitting on the grass relaxing. "Ryan come up behind her first" said Helen, "Just to make sure that Del doesn't mind you being next to her baby."

Del looked up from eating her grass and saw Ryan but then she looked back down and started eating grass again. So, then Ryan moved and moved up closer to the baby.
"What is her name mum?" Ryan asked.
"Her name is Dosti," the mum said.
"O well hello Dosti" said Ryan while stroking her soft coat.

Now it was time to measure Dosti's height. Ryan held up the measuring stick, but Dosti decided she didn't like the look of it, and she wouldn't stand still. In the end, Helen had to hold Dosti still so Ryan can move the stick next to her. She didn't like that much, either! "Ten hands," said mum.

It was the next day and the vet came to check Dosti and Del. She put her stethoscope on and listened to Dosti's heartbeat. Then after that she took a sample of Dosti's blood to check that she was getting enough Antibodies from Del's milk. Antibodies are special substances in the blood that help the body to fight off infections.

The vet said that both Dosti and Del are healthey and clean. "She'll grow up to be a tall bay mare," she said. "Just like her mum," said Ryan.

Church Bingo

     Saturday is one of the best day's of the week because that is when all the fun things happen. So on Saturday, I went shopping with my mum, my sister and, my cousin and his wife and his son. We went shopping at Mangere Town Centre then after that we went home and got some stuff then left.

     We drove to G.I (Glenn Innes) to go church for Bingo. We arrived and there were a lot of car's and then we walked and saw people lining up to get their Bingo paper's and Bingo Marker's. Suddenly, it was time to sit down and start our Bingo.

     This man was calling out the number's that we have to find on our paper. There were about 5 or 6 pages of Bingo. It took a very long time so me and my sister went to the car and stayed there for a while then we hopped out and went back. they were on there second to last page.

     When they were on the last Bingo page, my cousin and law gave her Bingo paper to me to do while she tells me the number's that the man is calling out. We almost won until this lady called out "yes I have one" so we lost. I said "What a waste of money and time man" then my cousin and law started laughing with my mum.

     So we talked with some people and ate then we walked to our car and ate there. After that we drove home and had a rest.

Transportation

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people use vehicles, bikes, motorbikes and a lot more to go from place to place faster and easier.

(19 century) In the 19 century, people would either walk or drive their carts. But there cart’s were slow and not fast like the cars now.

Communication

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people use Cellphones and Mobile phone’s.

(19 century) In the 19 century, people would communicate by writing letters and sending telegrams or sometimes by just going to their houses.

Mail

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people use Digital Online things like Gmail, Hotmail, Facebook and a lot more.

(19 century) In the 19 century, people would write their message on a paper then grab a brick and wrap it around it. After that they would chuck the brick into the persons house. It will either hit there leg of something else.

Clothing

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people wear Short things like short pants, short t-shirts and cool fashioned clothes. They also wear awesome fashioned shoes.

(19 century) In the 19 century, the ladies wear puffy dresses and the man wear suits, White & black chequered pants, a hat and they walk with a walking stick.

Washing

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people wash their clothes in washing machines.

(19 century) In the 19 century, people would wash their clothes by using a bucket full of water, grab a scrubbing board, soap and their clothes.

Food

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people eat a lot of junk food and fast food.

(19 century) In the 19 century, people would eat Healthy food but they were expensive.

Machines

(21 century) Now in the 21 century, people use electric stuff and they also have electricity. They use things like Television, electric screwdriver’s, washing machine’s and a lot more.

Technology

(21 century) Now in the 21 century for technology, people would use laptop, computers, projectors, computers and more.

My Big Brothers birthday!!!!

     On August the 16, it was my big brothers birthday...... I was so excited because he got money and presents. I gave him Converse's (which is Chuck Taylor of just Chucks). My grandparents gave him 100 dollars, my mum & dad gave him new shoes & money, my uncle gave him 100 dollars and my cousins gave him things.

      Excitedly, he went to see his girlfriend and the girlfriend said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!". Then He stayed at her house for a while then went to his friend. His friends gave him presents and money!!!. Then they had a party at their friends house. My brother came home tired & sleepy so we made him some think to eat. After that we called he girlfriend house and told her to come and pick him up so she came.

      They left and his birthday was over. It was the next day and my mum said to me "Morning dare". Later that day we went and visit my brother at the girlfriend's house then we went shopping with the girlfriend. We bought shoes, clothes, other stuff and then we had Carl's Jr. It was so nice so we bought another one.

      After that big shopping, we went back to her house and had some fun then went home.

My Ugly Duckling Retelling Story

Once there was 6 duckling’s. 5 were pretty and one was really ugly. When the mother duck had the ugly duckling she wanted to kill it. Because she did not like ugly duckling’s only pretty duckling’s. She tried her best to kill the poor thing but it did not work.

First she put the duckling in the middle of the road. But then the duckling quickly dodged the car’s and got back on track. The second thing the mother duck did was she tried to get a person to buy her little ducking for free. But it still did not work!

So she tried to do heap’s of thing’s to the little thing but it didn't work. The little duckling was really smart it knew what the mother was going to do to him so he was making a plan on a blue print’s. When the little ugly duckling was doing that the other duckling’s were asking the mum “why are you doing this to our baby brother?” then the mother yelled “BECAUSE HE’S UGLY!” then the other duckling’s did not ask that question ever again.

The mother was spying on the little duck and she thought that he was dumb but he wasn't. One day she was going to kill him her self. So she went and got a knife and lift it up and...........

The Concert that happened

      Friday and Saturday was coming..... I was so excited because on Saturday a concert was happening for my church. It was happening at the Point England School hall at 6:00 PM. So excited, it was Saturday and the time was 5:00 PM..... It was almost time to get ready and go.

       Me, my little sister, my mum and my dad was going because my other siblings did not want to come just us. Doing my hair, my little sister needed help on her clothes and my mum needed help with her dress. I was getting so tired because I was running back & forth back & forth.

        Finally, we reached our destination (The Pt England Hall). It was full and it was just starting. Patricia (my sister), was going to dance with me for the concert. I was so nervous because their were a lot of people there.

It was almost me and my sister’s turn to dance so we went and changed in the toilet. I looked so lovely & beautiful when i looked in the mirror. Extremely nervous, I couldn’t wait to dance in front of everyone.

Finally it was time for me and my little sister to perform. She was so nervous and scared but I wasn’t well just a little bit nervous. We were performing this dance we did Fiafia and the so was a Tongan song.

Performing, I looked at my little sister and she looked shy and then I looked at the crowd and they were recording us on their cameras. Waiting & waiting, the dance was finally over and we got to change, eat then play.

Some of us walked to the dairy and bought lollies, chips, pie & drinks. We all had a great night and had a lot of fun. It was finally home time so we drove home and went to sleep.

R.I.P KALEO!!! MISS YOU

My brother's Samoan friend died on 2012. It is very sad when he died because he never got to live the rest of his teenage life. He died and he was a teenager. We went to his Funereal and it was at David Tua's house. We cried and we prayed for him. It was so hard not having him around any more. After that we stayed and talked for a while and play then we went home.

My Dad's birthday!!!

 It was my dad's birthday on Mothers day (Which was on may the 12). It was fun because we went to my cousins church because they invited us to come. There was a Mothers day Feed there. It was awesome and amazing. My dad went and talked with these other men and came back. After church we went outside to get some fresh air then went back inside to help with the food. I couldn't wait to eat the food because they all looked nice.

My brother's Birthday!!

It was my brother's birthday on April 8. It was fun because we went to a hall and had a big feed there. There was drinks, Chinese Food, Chicken Nibbles, and Taro, Kumara, Tongan food and a lot more. The food was so nice that I kept on eating then came the Birthday cake. Everyone was yelling and saying "YEAH!!! nice cake... I can't wait to eat it YEAH!!!!". They just couldn't wait to eat it because  it looked so nice and yum.      HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROTHER!!!!

My little sister's Birthday!!!

It was my little sister's birthday Patricia on July the 1. We had so much fun because we had lollies and Chinese Food. We also bought Chicken Nibbles from Big Tongs at G.I centre. Me and my sister's were waiting for my niece's, nephew's and cousin to come so we can go and play on the park. WE waited and wait then they finally arrived. I was so excited when they got to my house for my little sister's birthday.

It was my mum's Birthday (which was on January the 28). It was fun because we had a feed with our family. It was at my house and it was so fun because my cousins came over and my nieces and nephews came too. Once all the kids came we all ran to the park and played Tag. Some of us went and played on the Swings and some of us went and played on the Sports Courts. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY!!! Love you!!!

Today it was my grandma's birthday (which is the the June 2). It was fun because me and my sister saved up some money so we can buy my grandma's Birthday Cake. We went to the Pak N Save and bought her cake there..... It was said Happy Birthday Nana. I was so cool because we also had Milk Shakes and Ice Cream.

My Retelling story about the Tortoise and the Hare

    Hi my name is Franklin the Tortoise and i’m a  SLOW POKE!!!. I have a big CABBAGE head, my hair looks like BROCCOLI, my hands look like Cucumber, my legs look like celery and my shell looks like LETTUCE .

     I really like to eat juicy plants but my favourite thing to eat is juicy green grass.. I always lose in anything that is a competition and I chew my food so slow.

      It was a bright and sunny morning, when I was in the middle of chewing my favourite juicy food (which is grass) when out of nowhere the bully came SPEEDY!!! the Rabbit.

      He is called SPEEDY because he is the fastest animal in BARN AVENUE. I really hate him because he always goes around to the animals and say “I’m the fastest animal here. I won every single time”. But what they don’t know is that he took a Silver Medal because he came second.

        Do you know who came first??? ME!!!. Annoyingly, he said to me, “ hahahahaha shame on you, you are so slow” “No i’m not” “Yes you are, you can’t beat me in a race.” Then jumped out the wolf from the tree. He declared “ Okay then, Franklin will challenge you in a racing competition” “No i’m not” Franklin said “He is just joking. We will meet you tomorrow at the field” “Okay see you later. Bye loser”

         It was the next day and the Franklin was waiting for Speedy to arrive. Everyone was waiting with  Frankin.... Then 10 minutes went past then that is when Speedy got there. The wolf came and told Franklin & Speedy that they have to run up the hill and back down.

        The wolf said “Ready, Set, GO!!!!” They ran as fast as they can and franklin just came in the lead and the Rabbit Speedy, was coming last. I was like “I can’t believe it i’m coming 1st..... The last time I looked back, Speedy was sleeping on the floor like he was tired!!!!.

           Franklin ran to the finish line and saw that Speedy was still on the ground sleeping so he ran past the finish. “YEAH I won yeah!!!! Woohoo!!!!.” Later that day it Speedy woke up and no one was at the field. He was so confused because there were just here and now they are gone.

          Walking his way back to the barn, he saw that everyone was celebrating Franklin because of how he won the race. (This is funny) Speedy walked inside and said “Thank you thank you” and then they said “Speedy why are you saying “Thank you thank you”.

         Speedy answered “Because I won the race right” “No you didn’t Franklin did” “What!!! the slow poke won!!! that is impossible” “Well he did so yeah.” Sadly, Speedy walked to his room lay down and went to sleep.

My Fun week in the Holidays

The holiday was AMAZING!!!!!

      I had a cool time in the holidays because on the last week of the holidays, it was a fun week. The places that we were going to was Kelly Tarltons, Clip & Climb, Butterfly Creek, The Movies and Ice Skating. On Monday was when fun week started fun week.

  MONDAY

      The first place we went on fun week was Kelly Tarltons. We all had a lot of fun because we saw a lot of penguins. I couldn't believe that that was the first time my nieces & nephews saw penguins in there whole entire life. We walked past to enter & this man took photos of us. Walking past the moving bridge, we saw the Gentoo penguins, the Adelie penguins, the King penguins & the Emperor penguins.

        We walked past the olden day things that they used to survive in the snow. Suddenly we got to the cafeteria and we stopped and got some things to eat. After that, we took pictures in the shark mouth, at the penguin face, on top of the turtle & in Nemo. After all that we went to the gift shop and bought the pictures we took in the entrance for 10 dollars each. Later on we where out of Kelly Tarltons........ We where all tired and exhausted so we went home.

TUESDAY

         The second place we went to was, Clip & Climb. We had a lot of fun because we climbed for a very long time. I had to put on a harness & a rope so my big sister can pull me up. Scared and nervous, because my sister might let go of the rope or do something to the rope. I climbed all the way to the top, I looked down from above and saw that I was so far from the ground.

          Climbing all the walls, I was suddenly getting use to climbing high. While having my time of fun, my big sister was giggling with my niece (which is 15 year old). My legs got really tired so I took a brake and watched the other people climb. It got late so we left and went to get something to eat.

WEDNESDAY

           The third place we went to was Butterfly Creek. I had so much fun because I saw lots of different butterfly's. did you know that that was the first time that I have seen a lot of butterfly's in one big place?..... Well it true. That was my first time at Butterfly Creek. I saw a lot of butterfly's that I haven't seen before in my life but I think that you have seen them???

            Feeling so happy, I got to touch some butterfly's and they felt so smooth and they looked cute the way they look at people. Every time time I look up and the butterfly's are flying around, it makes me feel so special and happy. I really like the pattern and the colours that are on their wings.

Thursday

            The fourth place we went to was The Movies. We watched Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2. It was funny and the little girls look so adorable but mostly the youngest girl. We ate Popcorn, Lickerish, and drank some Drinks. Later on when the movie was finished, my sister went with my 18 year old niece and watched Fast & Furious 6. We went and watched another movie while waiting for my sister. At home, we ate Carl's Jr, Mc Donald's and Pizza. I really enjoyed eating it because it was so tasty and yum.

             The last place we went to for the fun week was ICE SKATING!!! yea. It was so much fun because I got to laugh at my family when they fall down. Trying and trying, my twin fell when she was skating and also my nieces and nephews. my little little niece (which is 4) she tried but she fell so she used this blue trolley thing to hold on to while she skates. We all had a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it.
